Favorite Bourbon and Whiskey Cocktails

Classic Old fashioned bourbon whiskey cocktail recipe

  • 2 teaspoons simple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon water
  • 2 dashes bitters
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1 (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger bourbon whiskey
  • 1 slice orange
  • 1 maraschino cherry

Directions:

Pour the water, simple syrup and bitters together into a whiskey glass. Stir these ingredients, then place ice cubes in the glass. Pour the bourbon over the ice and use the orange slice and maraschino cherry to garnish.

 

Bourbon Slush Recipe

  • 1(6 ounce) can frozen orange juice concentrate
  • 1 (12 ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate
  • 1 (46 fluid ounce) can pineapple juice
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 2 cups strong brewed black tea
  • 2 cups bourbon whiskey
  • 1 (2 liter) bottle lemon-lime flavored carbonated
    beverage

Directions:

Mix together in a large bowl or container, the lemonade concentrate, orange juice concentrate, pineapple juice, tea, sugar and whiskey. Transfer to shallow dishes or bowls and put in freezer overnight.

Remove the frozen mixture from the freezer and allow it to stand for about 10 minutes. Chop with a potato masher or wire whisk to make mixture into a slushy consistency. Place into glasses, scoops of the frozen slush topped with the lemon-lime flavored soda.

 

B-52 Bourbon whiskey cocktail recipe

  • 1 tablespoon Kahlua or other coffee flavored liqueur
  • 1 tablespoon brandy-based orange liqueur (such as Grand Marnier®)
  • 1 tablespoon Irish cream liqueur

Directions:

Pour the coffee liqueur, Irish Cream liqueur and Grand Marnier carefully, into a cordial glass, in order to not let them mix.

 

Shaggy’s Manhattan bourbon whiskey cocktail recipe

  • 1 fluid ounce sweet vermouth
  • 3 fluid ounces bourbon whiskey
  • 2 dashes bitters
  • 2 maraschino cherries

Directions:

Fill up a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour in the whiskey and sweet vermouth and splash on 2 dashes of bitters. Pour this mixture into 2 cocktail glasses, and garnish each with a cherry. Serve immediately.

 

Classic whiskey Sour Recipe

  • 1 fluid ounce simple syrup
  • 2 fluid ounces fresh lemon juice
  • 5 fluid ounces whiskey
  • ice cubes
  • 3 maraschino cherries for garnish

Directions:

Combine the lemon juice, syrup and whiskey in a shaker, and fill up with ice. Then cover and shake for about 30 seconds, until the shaker becomes frosty. Strain into martini glasses and use a maraschino cherry to garnish. This can also be served in tumblers, filled with ice.
