I recently received this as a gift from my wife. It has been quite interesting to get it setup and our first batch is in the barrel (waiting for it to be ready). The idea is great and I really like that it is an oak barrel and charred. I have sent customer service a few questions and they have been very good at responding and giving good directions.

Purchased the 2-liter barrel with Irish Whisky flavoring kit (NB: I though the Irish did not have the “e”: in whisky???). Kit arrived promptly with great instructions. Had a small issue with the spigot (was leaking), but received a prompt replacement – that’s what I call cromer service!
Still waiting for the first batch to be ready (another 40 odd days), but am optimistic that it will turn out fine. Very happy so far!

Love this barrel. It’s a bit smaller than I figured – which isn’t a bad thing. Holds 2 liters easy, but it’s easily stored on a shelf in my garage. Already got a couple of batches going – Manhattan even after 2.5 weeks is amazing! Excited to order more of these!

I purchased this for my husband for Christmas and it was by far the best gift! We’re still waiting for the first batch to complete in a couple weeks, but are already talking about what we plan to make next. I had his barrel engraved and it looks fantastic – I added our last name and date to one of the stock images and it looks very personalized. The barrel is well made and sealed really quickly, and we haven’t had any leaks. The company provided excellent instructions in the kit and even some great how-to videos on their website.
I already have plans to purchase a second barrel for my husband’s upcoming birthday along with some more flavors so we can get another batch going – we plan to keep some bottles on hand for sharing with friends and family at events. We may opt for a 3 liter this time because the 2 liter does appear a bit small, but despite its size it definitely holds 2 liters + even after adding the flavors.
